As a young lad I longed to live the life of James Bond; fast cars, sharp suits, and an enviable demeanour?. What?s not to like!
Many years on, and without any of the above, the Bond dream is looking less and less like an achievable goal. However, my upcoming to trip to South America does include a visit to one of the key locations of the recently released Spectre movie, Mexico City. This has got me very excited indeed and I must apologise in advance for anyone that sees me attempting to re-enact? some of the films scenes, although I?m sure some of my friends would say it?s not the first time I?ve been spotted rolling round in a tuxedo after a number of cocktails!
From a work perspective the maiden visit to Mexico City is well anticipated as I look forward to meeting and presenting to a number of new contacts following warm introductions from clients in our other key regions. As always the feedback from these initial meetings is invaluable and vital to the development and future success of our organisation.
A trek down to Sao Paulo, Brazil follows Mexico City and a visit to some existing clients. It?s always a pleasure to visit these particular individuals and I look forward to updating them on recent developments and plans for 2016 as well as, time permitting, catching up on a social level over a glass of wine. A particular good news story for me to share on my travels is the nomination of the Castel Residential Fund for the?Best Social Impact Investor?at the upcoming?Investment Week Sustainable Investment Awards 2015.
Visiting our clients no matter how far and wide remains a fundamental part of our business model and I am particular interested to hear how current market conditions are affecting demand for alternative solutions such as the Funds within our suite. For anyone in either of these locations who would like to meet up feel free to get in touch,?stewart.quayle@avifundsolutions.com
I?ve got just about enough time to perfect my Bond moves before heading off so until next time?.
